Care for the Sick

For 2000 years, the church has been at the forefront of ministry to care for and love the elderly, infirm and sick.

ALS has struck us both closely and personally as a church.

In 2014, our founding pastor Nancy Butler first experienced symptoms that would later be diagnosed as ALS.

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

AMOS Health and Hope seeks to take action to help address the problems of poverty, disease and preventable deaths.

Drs. Laura & David Parajon

Drs. Laura and David Parajon are American Baptist medical missionaries in rural Nicaragua. They started the Amos Project to improve the health of impoverished communities by working alongside them in health, education and development. Professionals travel from all over the world to copy their succesful model of training local community health care workers. They are literally saving lives by training local villagers.

We offer short-term mission trips to see their work first-hand every January.
